Tilt the device and the cube leans with it as it falls. There is no button. The accelerometer is the entire control scheme, which makes small corrections easy and large ones dangerous.
The map keeps rising to meet you, so the run ends the moment you over-correct.

You never stop descending, which makes hesitating a mistake in its own right.
